RPA-18 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)

The Regional Planning Affiliation 18 (RPA-18) Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is an annual report that outlines federally-funded transportation projects within the RPA-18 boundaries for the upcoming four years. This report includes all types of transportation projects that are funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) including highway maintenance or expansion, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, bridge improvement, and safety projects.

The TIP is a federal requirements of all Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) and a requirement of Iowa DOT for all RPAs.
Regionally funded projects will be selected by the RPA-18 Policy Board and Technical Committee, based on established regional priorities in alignment with RPA-18’s Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).
Regional Planning Affiliation 18 includes Harrison, Shelby, Mills and the non-urban portion of Pottawattamie County in Iowa.
