MAPA is issuing a call for projects for three regional programs with funding from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).  Projects selected will be part of the FY2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) funding cycle.

Surface Transportation Block Grant Program (STBG) (Iowa Jurisdictions Only)

Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) (Iowa and Nebraska Jurisdictions)

Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) (Iowa and Nebraska Jurisdictions)

The call is open October 30, 2024 until January 17, 2025.

Project applications for the FY2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) funding cycle should be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. January 17, 2025.

Local units of government including cities, counties and public transit agencies within MAPA’s Transportation Management Area (TMA) are eligible to apply. 

The TMA includes Douglas and Sarpy Counties in Nebraska and the urbanized portion of western Pottawattamie County in Iowa.
