2050 Long Range Transportation Plan Amendment Open House

MAPA is hosting an open house as part of the public comment period for an amendment to its 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).

The open house is scheduled from 4-6 p.m. July 20, 2023, at MAPA offices located at 2222 Cuming St., Omaha, NE 68102. The public may attend at any time during the two-hour period.

The LRTP amendment adds regional streetscape projects and a safety project to the plan and will update construction costs for several other projects included already in the plan.

The amendment includes several streetscape projects such as:

• Omaha’s North 24th Street Streetscape improvements
• Omaha’s Blackstone District Streetscape improvements
• City of Bellevue’s Mission Avenue Streetscape project

The amendment also includes a Nebraska Department of Transportation-sponsored safety project.

Updates to construction costs for the following projects are included too:

• Gretna to Wehrspann Trail
• Bellevue 36th Street Phase II
• U.S. Hwy 34 Bike & Walking Trail Phase 2
• Grouped Projects – Nebraska Planning

The public comment period runs July 6, 2023 to Aug. 4, 2023.
