Public Asked to Rank Long Range Transportation Scenarios

Home > Calendar > News > Public Asked to Rank Long Range Transportation Scenarios

As part of its development of the 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), MAPA would like the public to rank six transportation scenarios for potential project areas which would receive federal funding in the coming years.

The six scenarios are based on feedback from surveys and meetings where the public was asked to prioritize goals and strategies for the region’s transportation needs.  The purpose of the 2050 LRTP is to provide a vision for transportation development in the next several decades.

These scenarios will help forecast the types of transportation projects needed in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area during the next several decades, said Greg Youell, MAPA Executive Director.

Six public meetings are scheduled during the public comment period of May 31 through June 24.  The meetings will be an open house format, so please arrive at any time during the meeting time frame.  Anyone not able to attend one of the meetings may click here to complete an online survey in English or complete the survey en Español aquì.
