The Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA), in coordination with the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) and the City of Gretna, is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to conduct a transportation planning study for western Sarpy County, Nebraska. The WE-Step Plan will build on the transportation plans of the County and cities and provide a unifying framework for the coordination of future arterial transportation improvements in the county. Key considerations include: future growth projections, socio-economic conditions, land use, traffic demand, connectivity, roadway design, safety, transit, alternative modes, pedestrian amenities, environmental considerations, costs, and measures of success.

Since the RFQ period opened, updates have been made to the Sarpy I-80 Interchange PEL project website. Relevant land use, literature review documents, and public input results can be found here.

The original Project Schedule has been updated with a new consultant interview date. The updated version (10/13/2022) of the RFQ is available below, by contacting MAPA at 402-444-6866, or by emailing MAPA at transportation@mapacog.org.
