Training for Iowa Elected & Appointed Officials
Iowa elected and appointed officials have an opportunity to gain experience with open meetings and open records law requirements and executing effective meetings through the use of parliamentary procedures.
The Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) is hosting a special training session from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Feb. 13, 2025, at the Treynor, IA Community Center, in partnership with Iowa State University Education & Outreach.
Sara Shonrock will be the presenter. Shonrock is a Community Development Field Specialist for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach as well as the Institute Director for the Iowa Municipal Professionals Institute and Academy.
Attendees may choose to attend all or a portion of the training. The cost of registration is $10. A light dinner will be provided. Register by Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at tinyurl.com/electedtrainingIA.
