RPA-18 Call for Projects for FY2024 STBG Funding

Home > Calendar > News > RPA-18 Call for Projects for FY2024 STBG Funding

The Regional Planning Affiliation (RPA) 18 has opened a call for projects for Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) funding for Fiscal Year 2024.  Local units of government including cities, counties and public transit agencies are eligible for STBG funding.

The Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) program provides flexible funding that may be used by localities to preserve and improve the conditions and performance on any federal-aid highway, bridge, public road, pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure and transit capital projects.

The Iowa Transportation Alternatives Program (STBG-TAP), which normally has a call for projects concurrent with STBG funding, is on hold currently, awaiting further guidance from the Iowa Department of Transportation. Further information will be provided when available on a potential call for projects for TAP funding in the coming months.

MAPA will be providing additional information for prospective applicants in the coming days online at mapacog.org.
