The Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) is amending its FY2026 Transportation Improvement Program to increase funding for a trail project, change the funding source for two projects, adjust phase timelines for several projects and make some administrative changes.

The public comment period for the amendment runs Oct. 16, 2025, to Oct. 23, 2025.

The projects include:

Funding increase
▪ City of Council Bluffs City/County Connector Trail, Railroad Hwy from Kanesville Blvd. to Council Bluffs Corporate Limits

Project added (from FY2025 Transportation Improvement Program)
▪ City of Omaha Levi Carter Park Trail

Project removed
▪ City of Omaha, 168ᵗʰ Street-West Center Road to Q Street (Federal funds converted in FY2025)
▪ Nebraska Department of Transportation, US 275/72ⁿᵈ Street Omaha (Project obligated in FY2025)
▪ Nebraska Department of Transportation, US 275 High Mast Tower Replacement (Project obligated in FY2025)
