You are cordially invited to attend the MAPA Council of Officials Annual Meeting and Dinner on Wednesday, October 9th at the Holiday Inn & Suites Council Bluffs I-29.

This year’s Annual Meeting will feature Keynote Speaker Kevin Belle, project manager for the Great American Rail-Trail. The Great American Rail-Trail is a signature project of the Rails to Trails Conservancy (RTC) to connect the country via a 3,700-mile-long multiuse trail between Washington, D.C. and Washington state.

The route is already over 55% complete, and Kevin spends much of his time speaking with and visiting partners along the route to help complete the remaining gaps. His favorite part of the job is seeing the lightbulb go off in people’s heads when they see what this trail can do for them and their communities.
