At the March meeting, the Council will receive an update on MAPA Business and Program Priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.

The Lunch Keynote will feature a panel of local leaders from OPPD, ISU Extension and Black Hills Energy discussing the energy landscape in the region, including local government policies, and resources for decision makers at the local level. Please join us to learn more about this rapidly changing landscape and to connect with other leaders working on similar issues!

Join us after the Council of Officials business meeting for a workshop with ISU Extension Office, who is currently leading the Reliable Energy Siting through Technical Engagement and Planning (R-STEP™) project. R-STEP is a DOE-funded project that includes a number of partners putting together toolkits and strategies to support local government decision-making in Iowa.
