LRTP 2035
BackThe Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is a 25-year plan which provides a list of transportation projects to meet the future transportation needs in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro. This is accomplished by analyzing demographic forecasts and current conditions of all modes of transportation including highways, roads, transit, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, aviation, and passenger rail.
The Long Range Transportation Plan is updated every five years. The plans, projections, and proposed solutions aim to increase the quality of life for area residents. Additionally, in order to be eligible for federal funding, projects must be listed in the LRTP.
