FY2019 Call for Projects
MAPA is making a call for projects for a variety of regional funding programs from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Project applications for the FY2019 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) funding cycle should be submitted no later than 4:30 pm on January 19, 2018.
Here is additional information about each program available:
Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) | Regional FHWA funding for trails and other bike infrastructure, pedestrian improvements and other environmental activities associated with transportation projects.
Heartland 2050 Mini-Grant Program | The Heartland 2050 Mini-Grant Program is a set-aside of funding for MAPA’s Regional Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) Program. Projects funded through this program serve as a mechanism to move the Heartland 2050 Vision forward.
The Vision focuses on six goals to improve our quality of life and create a long-term vision in harmony with our people, places and resources. The goals include: Economic Development, Education, Health and Safety, Housing and Development, Infrastructure and Natural Resources
Application materials are posted on the call for projects portion of the MAPA website (http://mapacog.org/projects/fy2019-call-for-projects/). A policy guide (application instructions), application, selection criteria and scoring rubric are included.
